The Year 1984 – a small group of people gathered in the city of Mumbai with a two-fold vision :

- to reach out in compassion & stretch forth in kindness;
- to touch the lives of individuals who are groping in darkness without any hope.

Recalling the hard work put in by the early visionaries, we stand in awe at the work of the Almighty in accomplishing the vision through the city and the state.

The work started in the city has expanded and spread out to the other districts of the state; thus fulfilling the vision of the early visionaries who have ventured out in faith.

Today as it stands

MAHARASHTRA BAPTIST SOCIETY functions in three departments for the effective functioning of organization.

	SEVA MUMBAI (SERVING MUMBAI)
	SEVA SANKALP (SERVING MAHARASHTRA)
	SEVA ANURAG (SERVING SOCIETY)

The Term ‘SEVA’ Means ‘TO SERVE’.

‘FOR EVEN THE SON OF MAN DID NOT COME TO BE SERVED, BUT TO SERVE…..’
