SOCIAL PROJECT HAS THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES
Main activity in Balwadies (Child-care centre) in the 13 centres is to cater to the physical and emotional needs of the children in the slums who are unattended because the parents are involved in their daily work.  We gather the children and give them basic education, distribute nutrional food, and attend to their health needs.  We reach to around 1000 children who are encouraged to attend school as they grow.

Tailoring Classes are conducted for the women in the slum to have a profession of their own and make their living.

Adult Literacy to encourage and equip those adults who are illiterate to be literate.

AIDS Awareness to bring about awareness of this disease and help them be educated of the dangers of this disease.

Computer Classes to give an opportunity for the students in the slums to learn computers free of cost, who otherwise cannot afford to learn.

Children’s Club is for all the age groups of children in the slums who gather together for a time of games and learning on basic moral and spiritual values of life.

Empowerment projects are self help groups where people are given vocational training on making candles, shampoos, soaps etc., so that they could start their own small scale industry.
